Its a little more than “bizarre”. It is a blatant lie trying to give the President credit for something he has no control over. The only section of that pipe that requires presidential approval is the section that crosses the Canadian boarder all other sections can be built in spite of his objection. Its like him trying to take credit for the increase oil production in North Dakota. He has no say in the development on private and state lands. The large majority, over 90%, of new wells are on this land.

Once again, partisan politics demonstrates how it ignores the truth. The President has not wavered at all on this point. He opposed the pipeline as it was proposed because it passed through an area of Nebraska that was over a very important aquifer, and even Keystone said the pipeline would leak. What Obama is doing now is supporting the SOUTHERN portion of the pipeline, which does not include Nebraska. Please check your facts.
