Great news; so what did all this cost us? No copays? Nothing is free in life. Is it really to much to ask a person to pay a $10 or $20 copay? Man these liberals live in a dream world where money rains from trees, taxing businesses creates jobs, and higher deficits are a good thing.

Who pays a $10 or $20 copay anymore. That might have been the case with the old HMO plans or the cafeteria health plans. Most employer group plans have shifted more cost onto the employee subscriber. Isn’t that what Act 10 2011 was partly about? As far having preventative test screening such as colonoscopies, mammograms, etc with no cost to the patient apparently makes good sense for the health insurance providers. My employers group plan, and for full disclosure is a self insured plan, provides 100% coverage on preventative test screenings. Like the adage ‘an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure’ just makes good business sense to the insurance providers too.
