This was such a senseless killing of women and children civilians that can’t be excused. This soldier did 3 tours in Iraq before being sent on his first tour to Afghanistan. The word was he had TBI, so what was he doing on this last tour? Did the military just plain drop the ball? This soldier calmly put on night vision googles went down to the near by village and blew away 16 civilians. He came back to his base didn’t say a word until the dead and wounded began showing up at the hospital there. This was not only a tragic event but it underminded our purpose there, and now the level of trust will be compromised. The Taliban is likely to now gain support and we will lose the cooperation and intel against these hardliners. I say pull out of this country, and allow the Afghanistan military and police to govern their country. This is not worth anymore American lives, and the billions we keep sticking into this Middle East conflict. There will be more attacks now, and you can bet there are plans in place to attack any Americans or UN soldiers and civilians! You don’t give the enemy like this fuel!
