Well that’s just great. Nice to see a followup on this, and wonderful to know there’s some good news in an otherwise horribly tragic story.

Shame on you, DNT, for putting information about his father being incarcerated. How is this relevant to the story? Be a bit more sensitive. The family has enough stress of helping this poor kid rehabilitate, now they have the added stress of the entire community knowing his dad’s personal business.

It’s germane to the story because even without a positive male role model he’s been a heck of a good kid. A lot of kids in his position are just carbon copies of what they seem from their parents.
For the record: Read about just what his dad did to land in prison. If you don’t feel like looking it up, he beat up his girlfriend & tossed her out of a moving truck.

I find it funny that the fundraiser is set up to pay for medical costs. The boy is on medical assistance so there are NO medical bills. He was supposed to be moving to Texas 3 days after the accident without his mother. Maybe the DNT should do a story on fundraisers being done under fraudulent pretenses like med bills that don’t exist. I am sorry if I sound harsh, I am very happy Everette is doing well, but I will make sure that the authorities at medical assistance are made aware of these funds that are being raised. Paula would be ashamed of the idea of turning her grandsons injury into financial gain.
