Thank you for this wonderful article and thoughtful warning to people who may encounter the 52/9 intersection. I am glad to hear that your niece survived the accident and has received good care. I wish her all the best in her long efforts toward recovery from such a dramatic crash. The close proximity of the Mayo Clinic was, unfortunately, not of much use to my parents, whose necks snapped instantly when they were hit at the 52/9 intersection. I hope that your message reaches many people and is helpful in obtaining some action from MnDot on this important public safety issue.

Taking major interstate highways is the only way to go. From Alexandria take I-94 East to 35W South then hit I-90 East to get to Rochester. Best wishes to the folks injured who were referenced in this article.
