Some Patients Left in the Dust After Doctors Hospital Purchase

GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) – Doctors and nurses aren’t the only ones left behind after Altru bought the building where Doctors Hospital planned to open.
Some patients had already scheduled appointments and procedures and now feel they were left in the dust. Continue Reading

Let’s see.. The MD works in Crookston and was going to do surgery at DH. But it is Altru’s fault that the MD didn’t get a hold if his patient….sounds more like the surgeon didn’t have himself organized and wants to place blame.

Mr Gapp didn’t know they weren’t open? Really? I think WDAZ is being used here.

Altru declined comment for a reason. Another perfect example of them bettering themselves while dismissing the community. They figured all the patients would have to just come running to them. Why not just leave them hanging in the balance?
Classic move, Altru.

You may be surprised nevertru to find out that they had time to remove things from that building. Funny he didn’t put his patient schedule on the list.

I guess I don’t quite see how it’s Altru’s responsibility to notify people that aren’t their patients that appointments have been cancelled. They don’t have the appointment list for one. An office that cares for it’s patients should have the respect to notify their patients if they know an appointment is going to be cancelled.

Perhaps because Altru fired all the employees with no notice, and I’m betting they probably threw the patient lists in the trash? That wouldn’t surprise me at all for Altru to do.

Wow. Do you truly believe that?? Altru bought the building, they didn’t buy the practice, nor did they fire anyone.

Nevertru needs to check facts. Altru bought buildings. They did not even close on those buildings until March 1st. They had no power to tell anyone to leave. They did not fire anyone – Altru didn’t own the practices. It is not Altru’s fault that the closing practices did not call patients or use an appropriate message for their answering service. A Riverview Doctor that can perform surgery on a child? – sounds like Dr. Schultz walked out on his own patients and then tried to blame Altru for his misstep. If patients were left in the dust it was because their doctors did not take the time to help/inform them.
