Good grief, this guy received a huge vote of “no confidence” at his university a few years ago and to read the blog, you’d think he was Attila the Hun to work with. Did this guy get vetted at all? Speaking of vetting, he was the one who ordered documents shredded concerning how much Sara Palin was paid to speak at his university.
On the other hand, maybe we need an Attila the Hun to stand up to the legislature. This could get interesting.

You say he is Attila, & the article says he was hired to shake things up a bit. Maybe both are correct.
I have been hired twice in my career to “shake thing up.” both times I was given a very specific set of objectives & told to meet them. I was also told that my people were not that hot to see the new plans put in place. You can see where this is going. Getting called Atilla would have been a compliment.
Let’s see how it unfolds. I wonder how his meeting with Uncle Al went?

Hmmm, another person from California. I’ll keep an open mind and watch, but it seems as though they are trying to get a cartain line of thinking in all top positions. Time will tell.

Apparently, nothing was learned from the Robert Potts fiasco.

He got his degrees from the same sort of Ivy League schools Dalrymple and Hoeven came from. Nobody in this state seemed to mind putting them in office.
Many successful college Presidents got votes of “no confidence”. Hard not to when you make tenured faculty do their jobs or stand up the faculty unions.
I say we give him a chance. It is too early to let the horses out of the gates to put our stamp of approval or disapproval on.
