When Aurora asked the city for help, in the form of a four-year tax abatement, they were denied; even though they would have eventually paid countless millions in property taxes. Altru isn’t really asking for financing assistance, they are demanding it, and they will get it. They are that powerful! And now the city will never receive property taxes from Aurora Medical Park and Doctors Hospital. Altru will spend that money as they see fit. So be it. But they will never see a dime of my money, as I plan to spend it in Fargo.

People seem to think the President causes increased health care costs, but what really adds to costs is all these hospitals spending millions and millions on building projects. All that is going to be paid by your tax and insurance and personal money.
It’s more than a new high school would cost. Would people vote to just keep building a new high school every few years?
It all looks nice, but it all costs money.

I agree. If Altru receives the help they’re asking for, our city is supporting an unethical medical monopoly.
Unfortunately, I see this happening. After all, we are the city that paid to repaint our water towers pure white because we weren’t sure if the old logo should remain on them.

The move by the city council to create a bond for Altru medical monopoly projects is just disgusting. The council should be investigated. Altru’s anti competitive practices should be investigated. Never in my life have I witnessed such blatant cronyism which is also likely also criminal activity. Disgusting. How you sleep at night knowing how you screw everybody for your own interests and profits are beyond me.
