“An attempt by a former county official to have the problems investigated eight years ago went largely ignored by the St. Louis County Board and the State Department of Revenue, allowing the assessment errors to continue.”
And yet they seem so diligent in cutting back on staff, freezing wages and trying to slash worker benefits.

I guess this is one of those examples where outsourcing government work to contractors just doesn’t pay off in the long run.
