Lets get real here folks. The real fact is, because of the way lines are drawn, each commissioner will be up for re-election all at the same time. What this REALLY IS…I want to save my job!
For years now, the county board has been cutting funding, slashing programs, eliminating jobs, cutting services, and even road projects because of the economy being in such tough shape But all the while they themselves voted in their own PAY RAISE!
To add the cost of two more commissioners, the bennies and all that go with those two jobs, is not right at all, and not right to force onto the taxpayers that need more than hot air speaking from behind a desk.
Face it folks, they [the commissioners] can handle things as they are….YOU PEOPLE DO! They should too. Besides, maybe it`s time to give the commissioners a new “run for the money”.
SAY NO to adding more board members! AND say it loud and clear!
