I agree Roger, and it is clear Carl/ Harold as no clue what he is talking about, as before when he made attacks that had little or no merit on the President. War is hell, and no one wants more war. I can remember when both Cheney and McCain announced we would roll over Iraq in 4 months, I think we saw 9yrs of war and economic hardship because of it! Diplomacy is always better then blind ambition, as to satisfy someones political agenda and desire to go in blazing then have to take criticism from people like Carl/Harold no matter what decision Obama was to make since he is our President.

Apparently the diplomacy and sanctions are not working but bribery does seem to be the current option.
“WASHINGTON — The US offered to give Israel advanced weaponry — including bunker-busting bombs and refueling planes — in exchange for Israel’s agreement not to attack Iranian nuclear sites, Israeli newspaper Maariv reported Thursday.
President Obama reportedly made the offer during Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to Washington this week.
Under the proposed deal, Israel would not attack Iran until 2013, after US elections in November this year. The newspaper cited unnamed Western diplomatic and intelligence sources.”

After the last administration, that would sure be refreshing! After all those years of the ‘fear factor’ it’s pretty nice to see level heads in control.
I’d much rather see us do something about the situation in Syria than fall headlong into another Iraq.

Bob the bribery you refer too, must have been whatever radical conservative teaparty gibberish you seem to have read, and have no problem bringing to the conversation table. I mean this could be considered conjecture, and rumors you feel freely to accuse me of doing. Now even if we consider for one minute this was a form of bribery, how could this be worst then what the previous administration did? So let me ask you this BobK since your so convinced Israel was bribed by Obama, do you feel it was right for Cheney and Bush to convince Congress that Iraq had WOMD, and had purchased urainum from Nigeria to justify an invasion of that country that didn’t have a hand in 911? Even inspectors couldn’t find these so called droves of weapons stockpiled which would have been such a serious threat to the biggest Superpower in the world? Too top that off we tortured, and humiliated prisoners even posing them in sexual positions, doing unspeakable things to them such as urinating on them while taking photos of them with dog leashes and dog collars, believing that was funny. They didn’t even consider all the while we still have combat troops still fighting in the sandtrap who could be retaliated against because we are making the Taliban look like martys? Do you justify torture, and easedropping on average Americans BobK in the name of terrorism? I mean Bob since you are on this high horse of intergrity, and sense of honor when criticising a Democratic President, why is it you defend the likes of a Republican President, and VP, who clearly lowered the integrity of this country by playing in the sandbox with the same type of people we fought against? How about those we accused of violating human rights who were committing acts of murder and oppression on their own people? Cheney writes a book as he claims to condone torture, and because of these unlawful actions, him and Bush will not leave the country for fear of being arrested for war crimes, imagine that BobK if you can digest that?

Yes Bob I do blame Bush, because it was a knee jerk reaction that ended with 9yrs of war that also hurt this country economically. Bush and Cheney presented the bad intell from our military, and ignored the person Cheney sent to the M.E to investigate these so called threats to the US. When this person became outspoken against going to war his wife was retaliated against and her cover as a CIA operative was leaked. The red flags were there, yet Dems and Republicans were convinced by the bad intel that the very man we helped to power and supported was stockpiling WOMD, and trying to build nuclear weapons. Not so stated UN inspectors who found no nuclear facilities or even anything that could remotely pose a threat to the US, yet they too were ignored. Another troubling aspect of this war on terrorism was the claims of terrorists camps and Sadam training terrorists in his country! Now if we went to war with every country in the Middle East on the assumption there are terrorists camps in these countries we would be at war for decades. Bush had doubts after he was leaving office about what he would do if he had it all over to do again? We took the 100yrd yacht the CIA gave Sadam and sold it after he was hung, and our military found billions of US dollars in several of Sadams palaces, imagine where that came from? Bush wants Bin Laden captured dead or alive, yet deverts our troops from Afghanistan to Iraq to over throw the same dictator we put in power. The same deal with Bin Laden when we helped him fight the Russians by providing weapons and intell, now he turned on us and you know why? When Kuwait was invaded by Iraq and refused to leave, Bin Laden begged Saudi to let him and his freedom fighters liberate Kuwait since this was considered a holyland and westerners should not be involved. Saudi went with the US and as a result Bin Laden vowed to declare war on us through terrorism. There are other things I can’t talk about but we were told and warned that Bin Laden has considered us the enemy and may use terrorists attacks on key US targets. Now one could say Clinton dropped the ball but in fact Clinton tried to get Bin Laden after his terrorim attack against our naval ship, and the bombing of a Marines barricks. We missed one opportunity and Bin Laden escaped because we never received at least a 90% confirmation that Bin Laden was at this compound, in fact he left just before we had the location under watch. Then we did blowup a compound after we believed Bin Laden was there, and killed everyone there, but Bin Laden escaped! When Bin Laden was said to be aboard a plane with high ranking Saudi offiicials Clinton had a tough choice, blow the plane and risk a fall out with Saudi or wait another day? Clinton decided not to risk the fall out with Saudi because he wasn’t 90% sure Bin Laden was meeting with the Saudi prince and others on that plane. Before Clinton handed the keys to the W.H over to Bush in Jan 2001 he advised Bush of the monthly terrorist meeting that were held every month after we were warned that Bin Laden was planning a major attack against the US according to bits and pieces of intel. Bush however canceled these meetings. The problem was we had a laptop computer of a terrorist that was turned over to us in 1998, whose drawings showed planes hitting three major American sites, the towers, the pentagon, and a major nuclear site. During the extradiction proceedings and the transport of this terrorist to the FBI building in NY one of the agents briefly removed the terrorists blindfold and told him you see, our twin towers are still standing. Little did we know Bin Laden was interested in these plans and decided this was how he would carry out his terrorist attack on the US. For some to say no one knew this could happen was throwing a smoke screen up and denying any knowledge that there was this possibilty. It was our own ignorance that these attacks took place because not eveyone of our agencies were on the same page. AND NOW YOU KNOW THE REST OF THE STORY, from the desk of JimmyD. The point of the bribery clearly is that Obama wants to make sure he is re-elected before war breaks out. It might look bad if we are embroiled in another war before the election. After the election he isn’t too concerned if Israel attacks Iran apparently.
