Sources: Cenzano was involved in complaint against Ruppert
WORTHINGTON A sign on the office door of the Nobles County Emergency Management (EM) Director advises people to contact county administration with emergency management questions. An email sent to county employees advises the same, stating EM Director Emily Cenzano’s phones have already been forwarded to the administrator’s office.

Thats’s two EM Directors Mel has ran out of town. I’d bet her only mistake was working too closely with the sheriff. How is it that the lawyer investigating Mel worked with him on the dismissal? That was some “independent” investigation.

This whole thing has a bad smell to it, I’m sure we’d all agree. Benson is blowing smoke when he said it has nothing to do with “retaliation”. Sorry, dude, that’s very hard to believe, given the timing and the circumstances.
As for the upcoming meeting on March 6, it appears Mel won’t be there since he’s “out of the office until March 12″ according to a county employee, and therefore is “unavailable for comment.” Who’s not telling the truth here? If Mel dares to show up at the meeting, we’ll know somebody’s lying. What a circus.

government of the people, by the people, and for the people. yeah right. Cant get rid of Mel no matter what. and if he is canned, he will (allegedly) make loads of money off it. His contract is not available for public inspection so it is hard to know. Something fishy there also. In fact this fish barrel is getting to smell more and more rotten as the days go by. pitchforks are a bit to the extreme, I would encourage some tar and feathers though. Or just maybe at least some citizen input. Dont forget to get on the list or they wont have to hear your concerns. Research and understand the meeting procedures and protocols to avoid getting ran out!!! Good luck!!!

Yes, “beans” you are right. Planting their heads on pikes in the town square would be a little over the top.
By observing the approval numbers of these posts, we can agree, something needs to change. 2nd and 5th districts are open for election this fall. Better use of our efforts now would be drafting quality candidates. Spending money on lawyers to seek answers to our present questions is a waste. Campaigning for better commissioners is more reasonable.

Beans,
Ruppert is a public employee and YOU or anyone else can go and request a copy of his contract. It’s your right to know what you are paying him. I have seena copy but it’s been over a year again. Go look, you’ll be VERY surprised at what we are paying him along with all the extra benefits he wrote in for himself. AND, if I’m not mistaken and read it correctly, if he works ONE day in a year, say January 2, he will get his FULL, 6 figure pay for the entire year. YES, we need NEW commissioners, he’s got them by the tail also by the looks of it. I would say a good lawsuit by the dismissed party would shed a huge light on what was REALLY found in the investigation that got swept under the rug. VERY foolish move by the king and his third floor minions.
