Others questioned whether raising the issue again was a wise decision in an election year dominated by economic issues. Continue Reading

You know, I’ve re-thought my position on this. Even if the complaining organizations are mostly funded by taxpayer dollars, their “religious freedom” should trump all other considerations.
Thus, the catholics and their religious right allies can use the exemption to ban provision of contraception.
Thus, any group related to scientologists can ban all psychology-related services.
Thus, any group who relies on faith healing can ban everything except prayers

And here I thought we had freedom of religion in this country. Religious organizations are not saying people can not go out and get contraceptives if they want them; they are saying we are not going to be forced to use our moneys to support and promote something against our religion. The organizations they run, hospitals, social services are their because they believe they are required by their beliefs to provide it. Those services are part of their religion. No one if forced to work for them.

Not very good because the Dems control the Senate and are blocking everything. They are causing grid lock which is what their plan has been since the Republicans took the house back.
