No, a pellet gun is NOT the answer.
Unless you would care to be cited for cruelty to animals.
Dennis, don’t worry about those cats, they are more than capable of surviving even the coldest winters. And the fact that your sorry trap isn’t catching them is just proof that they’re doing just fine on their own. After all, they are just about the most efficient hunters of vermin out there. This time of year, they’re not bothering songbirds, and they certainly aren’t the threat that stray dogs are.
Just leave them be, or if you do feel a need to move them, call the ASPCA.
And to the fool with the pellet gun, cats are pretty tough. I adopted one I found that had been shot with a .22. Turned out to be one of the best cats I ever had.
