   Weird that Michelle Bachmann has Ron Kind running around looking for support. Are there more bridges down in Southwest Wisconsin crossing into Minnesota that Mr. Kind will be looking for the returned favor? Wonder how your new Congressman, Sean Duffy, feels about a $690 million bridge.

   The Stillwater Bridge is old, narrow, slow, yet charming like a lot of the river crossers up and down the river, but back to reality. Unless it’s going to fall into the water next year this is the kind of spending that needs to wait for better times. The U.S. government is set to over-spend, once again, $1.3 trillion over what they take in with our taxes and a $690 million bridge would go right on the debt heap for someone else to worry about later.

   with working at .gov efficency, this will still take 5 years to be completed…that POS stillwater bridge cant wait.

   First sentence on the April 2011 MN-DOT Condition Summary on Stillwater Lift Bridge and it’s a short one: The Stillwater lift bridge is safe.

   Looks like we can safely remove this one from the list of thousands of structurally deficient bridges that President Obama claims are in need of dire stimulus money to replace. Let’s get back to what this country needs and put away our wish list for another day. The bridge may be a “POS” in some eyes, but it is safe.

   Well on the bright side there are 5 or 6 “thumbs downers” that hopefully now understand how we run trillion dollar plus deficits year after year, unless they are just complete imbeciles.
