No action to be taken against Nobles County Administrator
February 21, 2012 at 6:48 am in Worthington Daily Globe
WORTHINGTON – After a two-hour-long closed session with legal counsel during their board meeting Tuesday, Nobles County Commissioners decided there will be “no discipline of any employee because the allegations were not sustained by an independent investigation.” Continue Reading

Well, I suppose if the commissioners don’t want to listen to the constituents, it’s time for new commissioners!

What a joke. It just shows how slippery he can be when cornered. I wonder just how independent the investigation became once a retainer came up.

“The allegations were not sustained by an independent investigation.” And WHO made THAT decision; The Commissioners? Does it really surprise anyone that this decision was made? They bow down to their kings wishes 100% of the time so, Who really thought that anything would happen? They use the data practices act as a shield. If it TRULY was unsubstantiated, show the reports to the people. Prove your statements and stop the publics speculation! Hiding the truth behind a steel curtain only fuels the growing mistrust of the masses. Now watch the retaliation coming from the, “Throne in the Third Floor Palace”. Should be quite interesting to say the least.

Dog, Remember this “A wise man makes his own decisions, and ignorant man follows the public opinion.” I always thought ‘public opinion’ ( The Majority) was supposed to be the ruling factor in this country! Whatever, it looks like you are being Out-Wised here! Big-Time!

“Figured it would be this way from the START???” & “Not worried about it”?—Hmmmm, what would YOU have to worry about? You wouldn’t happen to be INVOLVED in the decision making process in the Commissioners room would you??? I’m interested in seeing what the next move is by the employees.. Could get interesting.

naughtydog,
I find it disappointing you would take the time to comment about an issue you apparently are ill informed. This man has abused many good employees, discouraged regional dispatch, and most recently a regional community health program. Considering these and other issues, its time we part ways and he continues his micromanaging leadership elsewhere.
From the county website, ” The Administration Office provides leadership “, this displays his confusion. I would think we hired him to provide support to the commissioners.

A lot of bosses abuse their good employees. It’s not a unique situation. There is a jerk in every bunch. Difference here is the tax payers footed the bill for an outside investigation and the accusers failed to prove their case.
This free investigation is a lot more then most people get. Most just eat it or find the door.

There are laws that prohibit this kind of treatment of employees-be it in the private or public sector of business. That is what this is about. When employees are harassed, discriminated against or mistreated in any way if it is reported it has to be investigated. If you are a private business and someone files a complaint the business has to investigate it and pay for it-the same as the public (read county) does. Hopefully there will be no retaliation against the employees involved. If you go by past behavior, Mr. Ruppert has a history of not working well with others. If he worked better with others why did we dissolve our health service agreement with other counties and could not come to an agreement on other joint ventures. There are many validated examples of what he has done to NOT work with others. Why would it be any different within the county system?

I’m not sure whats going on with this guy, but I do know he has been making waves for a long time. He is disliked by many- many, besides just the employes. Cann’t see how he can be efective at the job any longer. Needs to be allowed to resing. Thats probably what is happing here anyway!

I got it right! Sounds like you are yelling intolerance because people have an opinion other than yours. That’s not what you meant? Re-write it.. Remember this is a comment\opinion thread based on whatever, that’s how it works here!

“A lot of bosses abuse their good employees. It’s not a unique situation. There is a jerk in every bunch. Difference here is the tax payers footed the bill for an outside investigation and the accusers failed to prove their case.”—- DID the accusers fail to prove their case? Or was it perhaps the Commissioners that he seems to “OWN” once again swept it inder the rug. —-”I’m more informed then you give me credit for.”– Really? Now how could that be since the records are sealed and private data? As I asked before, you wouldn’t possibly have been one of those decision makers on this now would you? How else would you have been so “Informed”?
