I thought, oh what a neat idea!
Then I read 50-100 bucks an hour?!?
Fail.

50 bucks an hour is cheap for labor. How much was your last repair bill for your car per hour? or furnace?
The last Skilled labor job i had the going rate was 85 an hour when I went out to a customer location to work. and that was 3 years ago.
Are you looking at the bigger picture or thinking that one person is pocketing 50 bucks an hour?

Ever see that Grand Forks promo on the public access channel? I watched that once and thought, “Wow…That place looks cool…I’d like to visit that place” Funny how much they can make something fairly ordenary appear to be OZ like…..

There is so much prejudice out there about anything N.D. that something like this is needed to counter the negative propaganda.

Spearman is right. So many people talk about how this place sucks, etc, and I ask them if they’ve ever done anything but go to UND and bar-hop, to which they usually answer no. Get out, do something.
The arts scene, specifically performing arts, is a truly viable nightlife alternative to bars. The GF arts scene is growing, but more/better promotion AND TRANSPORTATION is needed for these events – I rarely hear about things until a few days before and my calendar is already booked. Give the arts a chance, there’s some real talent out there, and if the patronage follows, it will only get better!
