The only goal of the GOP is to get Obama out of office. Ron Paul is the best candidate for that, but for some reason the R’s can’t grasp this. A recent poll of American voters for overall opinions of potential candidates revealed this,
“Favorable opinions”
Obama 53%
Ron Paul 42%
Romney 34%
Rick S. 32%
Newt 25%
“Unfavorable opinions”
Newt 63%
Romney 54%
Obama 45%
Rick S. 38%
Ron Paul 36%

The establishment doesn’t want a Ron Paul constitutionalist type to get the nomination, period. They would lose the twin cash cows, “War on Drugs” and “War on Terror”. Has any journalist asked any of these candidates what would constitute a victory in a war on fear?

I can’t understand how this nutball is still getting traction. I guess because there are still plenty of fundamentalist nutballs and GOP apologists like Hennan giving him airtime. The guy doesn’t think he needs congressional approval to get us in a war with Iran as soon as he can, and is the classic illustration of how the right wants to control our social habits with vice laws. Advice to free thinkers, run from this big government wacko as fast as possible.
