Full-service grocery will return to Farmington

Nash Finch, the store’s parent company, confirmed Friday that the store will change its name to Family Fresh Market and return to full-service operation. Continue Reading

This concept was a bad idea from conception and I said so in this forum, it was also a slap in the face to the people of Farmington. I am sure nash finch heard this from the community in word and by the slumping sales. Surprised it took them this long, what a dumb idea in the first place. Now if they would only hire back all the long time Farmington employees they fired when they made this dumb move.

Just as I finally started loving Savers, they are changing it! That’s too bad and a bit coincidental as I was in the store the other day and overheard another shopper on his phone telling a friend what a great little secret this place was. I think Savers depended a little too much on past patrons and word of mouth to bring in the business. Had they been a little more strategic, they might have been able to steal away customers from Cub, Rainbow and Target who go there just because they don’t know any better.
