Have they fixed the fence on the west side of their current library property? Last time I was by there it was still broken.

Well, I think it’s safe to say that the city damaged it during snow removal, and we know how they feel about paying for things they damage or destroy. That fence will never get fixed. Ever.

Regardless of who is paying for the damage, the library board has/had the option of getting it repaired. Those who see that the fence is damaged and not repaired do not know who is, or who is not, responsible for paying for the damage. What they do know is that it is a reflection on the library board’s concern, or lack thereof, for the upkeep of the property they are responsible for whether the library remains in it’s current location or if the library is moved is moved to another location.

I asked about the fence when I first noticed that it was damaged and the response that I got from a member of the staff at the library said the repair would be done by a company here in town, but that it would take a while due to that contractor working on other projects. So for those of you who feel that the library is not working to maintain their grounds you need to check your facts before making statements like that.
