Sounds like there might be a lot of felons waiting to be caught carrying concealed weapons without a permit to carry.
Many don’t realize pepper spray is a dangerous weapon and if you are carrying it on your person or in your car like in the cubby hole where it can’t be readily seen, you are a felon waiting to be caught. Basically, everything mentioned in the article requires a permit if it isn’t visible when you are carrying it.

There was a concealed weapons class held in Manning this weekend. Numbers were close to 50 that took it. Law abiding citizens are arming themselves, protecting themselves legally. Numbers are increasing. Packing- it’s a good thing!

I’ve had a concealed carry permit since 2003 and highly recommend it. There were places I used to go where I didn’t feel entirely comfortable; that changed once I got my CCL.
I have one trusty Glock 9 mm under the front seat of my truck where I can reach down and grab it in an instant if I need it. I have another (subcompact) that I carry when I am out hiking or biking.
Remember the lady that was stalled in her car recently in eastern-Montana, by a weigh station? The predator that tried to kidnap her was gone once she pulled the gun. That could have turned out completely different.
