Paul I am neither a grower or an employee of ACS, I am not pro ACS, I am pro business, I see why ACS is asking for the changes they have. But I don’t agree or disagree with this article. Truth is there is a very good chance the sugar bill will be removed from the farm bill. Will that destroy ACS, probably not. But they will be slashing costs just like any business would do to stay in business. This is exactly why they have written the contract this way and will not budge on their final offer.

If they lose the sugar bill the best thing they could do is settle with the union. The union workers can make them money whereas the group in there now will cause them to go broke with or without the sugar bill.

This article was one of the poorest researched and poorly written articles I have ever read. The Herald should be embarrassed for printing it.
