Communities in Bowman County are embracing a large influx of Hispanic people who have moved into the area, officials said Monday.
“We estimate there are probably about 80 Hispanic individuals that have moved to the community,” said Ashley Alderson, executive director of the Bowman County Development Corp.

I think it’s great that Bowman is embracing the Hispanic population with open arms! Kudos!

Samantha – I would say “Perry” sounds more racist than anything. Drugs were here long before newcomers started coming in. Williston has had a drug issue since the oil boom in the late 70′s/early 80s. And gangs? Please…..most of the Hispanics I’ve seen are here to work, not “gang bang” the streets of Bowman (that sounded funny just writing it).
But as with everything, we cannot be 100% accepting as common sense would prevail and we cannot be naive. Always be aware of your surroundings and be safe.

I have lived around and amongst non-English speaking Hispanics for many years and here is what I have observed:
I have had heard a lot of loud unwanted Tejano music with bass subwoofers at all hours of the day. I watched them park their cars on their lawns while living 15 people to a house. I watched the police come and go and haul them away for criminal activity. I watched them go to emergency rooms for health care because they have no health insurance. I watched police investigations for murders.
And all of this cost is picked up by the tax payers. Bowman doesn’t have the tax base to support that much less have the taxpayers who want to foot the bill. (BTW 11,200 anchor babies are born every year in Dallas.)
If they can’t speak English, they probably came across the border illegally. They are transients, and yes, the most likely to be lured into gangs.
A small minority of liberal Hispanics support illegal immigrants but most bona fide Hispanic American citizens resent them.
Making these observations has nothing to do with hate or racism. Everyday we observe our environment, and integrate those observations into making rational decisions that are essential defense mechanisms. When these observations are about observing certain patterns of behavior inherent to specific groups of people, then it is called racism. The fear of being called a racist is what leads to dumbing down and hence, refusing to acknowledge these truisms.
Remember one more thing: when you support illegal immigrants, you are supporting death sentences for those who will try to cross the border (to get to Bowman) and die in the desert. That is immoral.
Perry’s comments are the most accurate. Samantha and Gypsy Woman are the ones showing naïveté.
