Does this count as his townhall meeting for St. Croix County? Duffy promised in 2010 to have townhall meeting in all the counties in the 7th district. So far only the select few get to attend those meetings.
Welcome to the 7th Congressional district St. Croix County!

Considering that I don’t even think the new districts have taken effect yet, I would say he is doing an excellent job of getting to the new 7th district!! Sheesh!

The lines have been drawn, St. Croix County will be voting in the 7th this fall and I don’t want to alarm anyone but {whispering} this county is the new political battleground of the district.

Not until this fall….but you are already belly aching about Duffy not getting here enough. Anything is a major improvement over Ron Kind!!

I’m actually belly aching over his first stop being a campaign stop and not a town hall. First things first, I guess. Sean’s a good guy, other than being a warhawk and voting to raise the debt ceiling to $16.4 trillion, he’s done a modest job juggling his time between his Congressional duties and his 6 kid family.

Age: 25 or more (check); Citizen of USA for at least 7 years: (check-background suggests at least 7 years); Resides in state at time of election: (check-campaign activity suggests living in state). YEP, he’s qualified. So are 3,000,000 or so other Wisconsinites.

Liar and cheater would be much better applied to our previous governor, Mr. Doyle.

The pick up of St. Croix County is huge for 7th district politics. That coupled with the loss of Stevens Point and Wisconsin Rapids and the surrounding highly democratic area through re-districting, I believe the gain was 8000+ republican likely voters (mostly from this county). Looks like the majority here didn’t care for Ron Kind, well how about having the same Congressman for 42 years – yicks! That’s why I think it is so important to make sure we have the right guy or gal in there and right now because of his non-urgency stance on the debt I feel as if maybe we don’t.

On Aug 1, 2011 Sean Duffy used his vote to help raise the debt ceiling by $2.1 trillion to $16.4 trillion and defended his actions by claiming most spending is mandated and he wanted to avoid a government shut down. The debt increase was also deemed acceptable because they had agreed on $2.4 trillion in spending cuts over the next 10 years which mathematically is a joke [no one laughing] and who would have thought that a super committee in charge of the cuts couldn’t get it done. This increase vote conveniently makes this an issue for 2013 and will not be touched in 2012 before the election which is why most smart people can see that if nothing is done now the vicious cycle only repeats itself in 2013 under the same leadership.
