I thank God for anyone who is trying to help teens understand that suicide is NEVER the answer to any problem! So kudos to you all! I have a website http://www.illstandbyyou.org where teens can also talk to me anonymously and for free. In fact from the years 2000 to 2003 I had over 150,000 hits. I was talking to teens around the world.
I know the pain of wanting to die and it is one of the loneliest and scariest places to be. Having attempted suicide 3 times myself, I understand just wanting the pain to go away and at certain moments in our lives we feel that dying will end that pain forever. I am now 54 years old and know that suicide is not the answer for temporary pain. Even though it may feel that pain is going to last forever, it doesn’t.
I hope all teens get help and if anyone wants to contact me or use me as a sounding board I am here for you.
