Funny that I don’t see anyone complaining that federal funds are coming to North Dakota.. Well when it is us, it is a whole different story about the National Debit and the amount of spending happening in Washington right.

Agree with you mav, we have a billion dollar surplus but we take 2.5 mil from the fed gov yet all we talk about is we take care of our own.

It is the hypocrisy that gets me. We have people in this state screaming for fiscal responsibility in Washington, but when something like this is posted, that funds are coming to North Dakota we see nothing.. Not one word.
I too believe that something needs to be done in Washington, but my solution is that everyone that has been there for more than a year needs to go.. All of them, federal aids, senators, congressmen.. all of them. Get rid of the Lobbyists, outlaw the lobbyists, and start over.. Washington has run amok on both sides.

North Dakota was a big welfare state until they found a way to produce a viable source of energy here.
