LETTER: Christians must fight to prevent abortions

“You can’t legislate morality” is something we hear often from the pro-choice advocates. Jan. 22 is the 29th year that we have been under the immoral law of allowing abortion where this argument comes up. They say the pro-life values should not be forced on society. Continue Reading

This is a bunch of baloney. At the time that the majority of abortions are performed all that is there is a bunch of cells. There is no proof that there is a human being at the time of conception. Basically what it amounts to is that for several weeks after conception all that is there is a parasite, living off the prospective mother. All parasites live off something else.

I would like to see all Christians work toward ending poverty for all the children that go hungry, or how about working toward funding programs that help end the cycle of poverty such as Even Start and Head Start programs that Kristi Noem voted to decrease funding for. Its very simplistic to say ending abortions is the answer, but what about what happens to the child once its born??? Is that child on his or her own? Do Christians have responsibility to others from birth to death? Some Christians have latched on to reproductive choice as if its an easy thing to “Take care of” but they fail to see the systemic issues underneath the pro-life pro-choice debate. Simplistic Christians making things worse…I am sorry to say.
