It’s not only important for children, it’s important for parents and grandparents. The current version of the Tetanus booster (T-DAP) has the vaccine for Pertussis (Whooping Cough) which shows up as a bad cough in adults but is downright dangerous for kids.
You should get a Tetanus booster ever 10 years anyway, but if you haven’t had one in the past 5 years (when they put the Pertussis vaccine in the booster) you should consider getting one. If you work with children or spend time with children you should go get a Tetanus booster ASAP.
