A man led Minnesota and Wisconsin sheriff’s deputies on a chase in a reported stolen car Thursday morning and remained at large in the early afternoon.
St. Croix County Sheriff John Shilts said Loren H. Phillips, 43, was the alleged driver of a stolen car taken from 787 Pine Ridge Terrace, town of Troy. The car was reported headed into Minnesota, and Washington County authorities located it. They gave chase back into Wisconsin where the vehicle crashed near County Road V and 150th Street in the town of St. Joseph at about 5 a.m.
