If we don’t do something about the PO’s financial situation, then ALL the post offices will have to be closed…its not the rest of the country’s problem that ND has more rural post offices… if its inefficient to operate that way, then thats the way it is. And it should be addressed as such.

“delivery of the mail is economically important.”…To the newspaper publishing companies that mail their product to small towns for delivery.
At least honestly disclose your reasons for attempting to saddle taxpayers with more debt for your benefit. Forum Communications and other conglomerated publishers stand to gain from this the most and that’s why they are creating this manufactured crisis.
Use any of the private shipping firms available to get your product to your customers like other companies. Don’t add to the already bloated expense of keeping irrelevant post offices open so you can profit from it!

Kelly, you hit it right on the nose. This is typical self promoting.
The postal service is totally broken. It’s about time they do something to stop the bleeding. Sorry Forum Communications, your papers will get there a day later…

Next week there will be petitions to restore brick & mortar video stores, telephone landlines and 24 pin printers. Oh, while we’re at it, how about we bring back walkmans and outdoor plumbing.
