Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, lettuce.
So what does the JSDC envision for support on a project such as this?

If they want to make money, they need to grow hippie lettuce.

You are right, it will be a waste of money because everything that has ever been profitable at any time in history, was known to be profitable before anyone even came up with the idea!!
Ignorance is bliss!!

The JSDC supported a feasability study and are working to find financiers for the project. Sounds to me like a reasonable application of JSDC funds. That being said, the article didn’t provide details on how much was actually spent on the study, but assuming it was reasonable this is the kind of activity I would expect from them.
How is this a waste of money? It takes money to make money.

Now your shifting the discussion to something else. I was talking specifically about this item that was the point of the article.
So what exactly are you trying to shift the discussion to? You don’t like the concept of the JSDC? You don’t like any of the JSDC supported projects? You don’t like county projects? You don’t like the Energy Park?
I agree that some of the JSDC supported items have had questionable results, however in regards to this specific item it is my opinion that this falls right in their charter. They have not recommended any significant funds to the project therefore this project is not a waste of money.

The discussion was about lettuce and a feasability study. You shifted it to how the JSDC has not done one thing that has acutally done what it was supposed to do and then mentioned Spiritwood Energy Park. The article itself did not mention the level of involvement by the JSDC in this project beyond the study (hence my original comment).
I’m just trying to follow your train of thought and the point you are trying to make in regards to this article.

Might be nice to be able to get a head of lettuce locally that’s not already starting to turn orange?
