North Dakota seriously lags behind the nation in providing that equality. Continue Reading

It was a mistake to quit sterilizing mental defectives. They can’t support themselves, they certainly cannot support children. Society is not served by irresponsible procreation.
Spending more money per-pupil on low-performing students than we spend on “average” and “gifted” students is a crime against students, and a crime against society. “Diversity” in the classroom can go too far, when scarce resources are diverted from the productive to the non-productive, simply to be “politically correct”. Students are owed the OPPORTUNITY for an education. If they cannot–or will not–take advantage of that OPPORTUNITY, it is not the responsibility of the taxpayer to hire hand-holders, and it is not the responsibility of the school system to reduce the standards so it’s impossible to “fail”.
Why is it wrong to put special-needs students into facilities that provide special care? Seems an obvious match to me.
America does need a tune-up with regard to warehousing the elderly. Of course, this STARTS with the elderly person’s FAMILY, rather than directly dumping the financial burden onto the taxpayer. Be kind to your children, they’re the ones that may be choosing your nursing home.
