Gee, why did Mary vote no?

For the same reason he was hired in the first place. But that won’t be a popular answer.

I’m actually more curious why your conservative backed toady Artie voted no. He didn’t want him in the first place. Has he ever voted yes on anything, or is his entire agenda on the board just to be as obstructionist as possible.
You want to go off about ineffectual labor endorsed representatives, maybe you guys should be looking at who you’ve elected to be your voice on the “Screwel Board”, cause he’s not helping your cause any.

Maybe I don’t fully understand the process, but I thought that his being licensed in MN was a stipulation of the contract. His failure to do so, whether his own fault or otherwise, would breech that contract; why must we pay him through March, and give him benefits through June? Something’s not right here, I have a feeling the “investigation” may have had potential to unearth some less-than-flattering information…….time will tell.

If time says he could not have been licensed? Why would we be obligated to pay him anything? Would those paychecks have be obtained under fraud? What methods could we employ to reclaim any fruadulantly obtaind funds?

The real question: How much is he going to pay back of his signing bonus, or his moving costs.

Just as predicted, trumped up charges to remove this man as quickly as possible. I don’t know what the “investigation” was about, but I do know that his character is being attacked without being able to defend his position. As taxpayers we have the right to know what is happening here. And the fact that Judy SP and Ann Wasson want the man gone makes it all the more suspicious to me. Hey DNT about some investigative reporting.? Now, watch as they slide the assistant super (who they wanted in the first place) into the position. Shady. More of the same shady tactics. It’s what we have come to expect of the Board. And Tad Alberts – you have your information wrong. Member Johnston voted for Foster, -

Two Quick Points Here:
1) Is it any wonder that this school board didn’t sweat the details when it came to hiring a superintendent? Seriously, this guy walked into dysfunction junction and was given little direction by this board.
2) Probably not the popular opinion on here, but I would have extended his pay and benefits until the end of the school year. He has worked his whole life to be qualified for the position and could probably get that much, if not significantly more in legal settlement anyways, particularly because he is qualified for a license, and can obtain one…I am guessing that he resigned because he is sick of the B.S.
3) The fact of the matter is that most professionals can work long periods of time without a valid license (architects, electricians, etc.), you just pay a late fee on the renewal. In the real world this is a pretty minor technicality.

Just one more guy who woke up to the ‘facts of life’ in daloot, right?
