Citizen group questions school-employee bonuses

The Citizens for Responsible Government criticizes the Baldwin-Woodville School District for giving a $500 Christmas bonus to each of its 200 full- and part-time employees. The group indicated that the surplus should have gone back to taxpayers.

I would be interested in learning how the reductions for pay and benefits without State law requirement compares with the reductions under the State law changes.
IF and only IF the reductions were more than the State law requirements, should a bonus be paid.
Otherwise, the board is in error and should be turned out.
Can anyone answer this question? Thanks!
