Unfortunately there’s a potential down side. With the rise in crop values It has become more economically feasible to tile marginally moist areas making them more suitable for crop production. I see land being turned black that hasn’t seen a plow in the 20 years that I’ve been here. I just hope we are being sensible and considering the whole picture rather than just the here and now. We must remember the lesson of the 1930′s.
