They need to do this and they need to do it fast. The present political climate is to give away everything to the oil developers. Ryan Taylor is someone with the ability to represent ranchers and land owners so that we move forward in a way that preserves western North Dakota for future generations.

My bet is this proposed commission, if formed, would end up like most such ND projects. It will consist of the movers and shakers from politics, business, and academia, all arriving with their own agendas, and seeking significant wedges of the potential pie. Meanwhile, the average North Dakotan will be standing out in the cold.

Just one question: Has all that extra money put into education in Wyoming led to better results? This editorial intentionally skips over that part to push its own agenda. Money does not equal quality. Answer the question Mr. Jacobs.

I don’t think Mr. Jacobs plans on responding so I will help. The following is from a December 20, 2010 article in the Billings Gazette:
“Frustration among lawmakers is high. Wyoming struggles with a high dropout rate, mediocre test scores and poorly performing college students backed by a pricey $1.3 billion K-12 education system.”
