Cramer has gone off the deep end this time which should not be a big shock. The report he mentions is one done by the National Resources Council as part of a long-standing policy of sustainability that has guided the EPA since the early 1980′s. It hopes to eliminate some of the disjointed programs based on review and responses to legislation with a more planned approach. This was the same policy under Bush as under Obama, but, suddenly now the EPA is the radical right’s new whipping post. Why is it bad to do long-range planning? It isn’t, of course, but the tea party has to jump on anything that’s in any way connected to EPA and cut it to shreds, never mind that their overall goal is to protect the environment so the natural resources we use aren’t gone for future generations. Cramer is using this as a political wedge issue in this state. Not buying it, Cramer.
