Wow, i can see with this committee we are still sunk in the water. One of them IS our problem !!! I think what we need to do is bring up to the JSDC why we are loosing position hosting tournaments and lets get housing for these events. We have great facitlities here. New high school, civic center for BBall or Wrestling, 2 ice rinks. What else do you need? Step it up Jamestown. Come on. You are shooting yourself in the foot. We dont need a committee, we need coaching changes and a new younger JSDC board.

How about something for the parents and fans to do after the games are over? Bismarck, Fargo and Minot all offer a lot of shopping and entertainment options that Jamestown just can’t. Add to that a lack of hotel rooms and there’s no reason to hold tournaments in Jamestown when there are much more fan friendly places available.

The first name on the commitee tells me that this will fail to improve the athletic department. I beleive and have beleived for years that Roaldson has been the problem for the athletic department’s troubles in the past. It is a shame that you put him on this team. Let’s hope that it won’t be business as usual and we change or make a change in the athletic department. Don’t forget about the other activities…band, arts, drama, choir…

I’ve only lived in Jamestown a few years and don’t recognize many names on the committee. Are most of them Jamestown lifers or are there a few new residents?

I’ll be interested to see what kind of recommendations they come up with. I recognize a couple of the names on the list and know that they will have the best intentions. However, I’m not sure how that will translate to results. I’m optomistically reserved.
