Hmmm. Where did Burlington Resources get all those mineral acres? Now I remember … it was the railroad land grant. Every odd section of land for 40 miles on either side of the railroad line in ND. Corporate welfare, plain and simple. You can thank Lincoln for that … the crony capitalism stooge.
