Parry should be ashamed of himself. He is given the role of overseeing the VA. A soldier testifies before the committee that he received little to no support while dealing with the emotional stress of returning to civilian life. Parry dismisses the soldier as someone who “fell through the cracks” and then in the next breath tells him to refer any of his friends that are facing the same problem. A responsible, professional supervisor would direct the VA to review the soldiers case, find out where they failed him, and FIX THE CRACK.
