School taxes are a mixed bag for property owners

It was high time the legislature corrected this bait and switch tactic used to redistribute wealth and hide actual tax burdens. If citizens are unhappy with the tax rates it needs to be understood that most of local property taxes pay for schools. It would be ideal if school funding were more user fee based, those who send their childern to private schools pay twice. Those with no children pay for their neighbor’s children with no benifit to themselves. As it is locals have but one choice, say no to levies and starve the beast.
