People like Robert Rector, who make the kind of commets he makes, should be replaced by someone who actually has lived the life of a low income person. He cannot empathize with the person who is in the low income or no income category. Perhaps a person who has lived that life would come up with better solutions for this problem. These people are not poor because they choose to be.

What are the solutions?? Jobs would be nice! Taking more private money will not create jobs, more regulation will not create jobs. Try buying a cheap used car..by destroying working cars with the Cash for clunkers program, it drove up the cost of once affordable used cars. It was great for the unions. Gas is over $3.00 and we call it a bargain now. The poor and middle class have been hurt the most by this recession.

It would appear there’s some glitch in the “keeping-taxes-low-for-people-making-250K-plus-per-year” jobs and wealth creation strategy.
