Grand Forks surely needs another airline to take us West. I sure don’t like going to Fargo to get on a plane.

Would not do any good. Really what does west bound service even gain? Nothing. If you only have one westbound flight you would then be only able to catch one bank of flight either out of DEN or SLC. Which means you could have long layovers. Connecting through MSP with multiple flights gives the traveler many more options of catching more banks of flights. What this article really shows is that airservice follows economic development. Whereas our city leaders always say that airservice creates economic development. One can argue that eastbound service to Detroit has more benefits for Grand Forks than westbound service.
