Boo to a retailer that makes a killing at this time of year. This is a holiday tradition to service those less fortunate. Why not be kind and offer comfort and joy to the bell ringers. As for the noise of the bells I find it a nostalgic reminder of the reason for the season. It is about giving and sharing.

I hate those bells- I walk faster just to get past the noise- BUT- I have seen people ringing jingle bells and the sound is soft and not irritating- so switch the softer jinsgle sleigh type bells for those horrible loud ones. Let the guy have his warming hut-
