Park High School officials are continuing to explore how to provide more positive experiences for students and athletes. One thing they’ve looked at is which conference the school best fits into. Continue Reading

We can’t win, so let’s lower the competition. Maybe if the coaching staff wasn’t out closing the bars in their Park coach clothing they would get some respect.

If the number of free and reduced lunch numbers are a concern, then maybe the school board should have thought more about economic equities when they drew the boundary lines. I was concerned when they took a large chuck of Cottage Grove out of Park and kept St Paul Park in. imo

School board was not going to put SPP in East Ridge. The folks in Dancing Waters, Wedgewood Estates and Stonemill Farms would have had a fit. Shame on the school board for creating such a socioeconomic disparity in the attendance boundaries. Instead of switching conferences, they should consider re-drawing the attendance boundaries to create a more equal balance of free/reduced lunch %’s in the three high schools.

Wow. Instead of trying to get better, lets just lower our expectations and move. How about changing the school lines to create a more equitable distribution of students? Makes more sense than to lower expectations. There should be 3 equal high schools in the district, not one “jewel” and two lagging behind.
