St. Croix Economic Development Corporation will host its third annual legislative forum with St. Croix County’s four state legislators 4:30 to 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5, at the Cashman Conference Center on the WITC campus in New Richmond.

With nothing but Republican legislators in attendance, It’s probably unnecessary to even host such an event – a straight Republican party line stance will be presented, and then loudly applauded by other Republicans in the audience. Our country is crippled by strict adherence to party-line dogma. I sincerely hope issues are considered on their individual merit to our county and its residents rather than whether the ideas fit perfectly in to some preconceived party-framework. Yet, while I hope in one hand, It seems clear what will be left in my other. Also, just out of curiosity’s sake, what is the political affiliation of every member of the St. Croix Economic Development Committee?
