This country is in ‘Dire Straits’ with financial debt and the correct measures need to be taken as soon as possible. Why should taxpayers subsidize a hospital in Superior when there are 2 top-tier hospitals located within 10 miles of it in Duluth.

I would gather for the same reason a dialysis patient can’t just cross the border from International Falls to Fort Frances, but has to drive ALL the way to Duluth 3 or more times a week: BORDERS! Stupid that we can’t work together.
