You post some good questions as to why so few people voted. But you fail to notice some glaring issues with this vote. the “nuts and bolts” portion passed by 25 votes, but received 31 combined votes more than the other 2 options, who votes on only one of the referendums? Also, when looking at the two questions that did not pass, they were defeated rather easily. Does this not seem odd to anyone else? Or am I wearing my tin hat on this? o’well, just a few observations of mine. Have a great day!

This was an ambush election, deliberately hush-hush to minimize turnout. The private sector has lost jobs, income and value in their retirement accounts. Home prices have dropped 30 percent in five years while property taxes go up every year (with the possible exception of this year – thanks Scott Walker.)
Our public servants expect job security, steady wage growth plus free pensions and benefits. Every year they want “more” and you will keep voting until they win.
