How sad a commentary on our supposedly inclusive and enlightened society that the article states that “Borsgschatz has been exposed to public ridicule, contempt, anxiety and disgrace and the plaintiff’s standing in the community has been injured, causing severe mental anguish and distress,” because of a comment by a co-worker that implied she was a lesbian.
It did not imply that she was incompetent nor in error. Nor that she was immoral. Apparently the “slur” that she could perhaps be a dreaded Lesbian was enough to do the job.
