Rural Paynesville, Minn., man still doesn’t have attorney in murder case against him
October 31, 2011 at 10:28 am in West Central Tribune
WILLMAR Delbert Huber, 81, of rural Paynesville, appeared in court this afternoon and reported that he still has not been able to retain an attorney to represent him on a second-degree murder charge for allegedly killing a man earlier this month. Continue Reading

Why mess around with this old fart?
He’s either dumb as a box of rocks, or smart enough to game the system. Stick him with the stupidest public attorney you can find, and send his sorry butt away!

Are you a public attorney and are you available for this client?

No, but possibly you’d care to voluteer?
You certainly meet all the requirements.
Now, tell us. Have you even read the story? Do you know why this man and his son are being charged?
Or, are you just trolling…….

I believe the old man is purposely doing what he can to delay these proceedings against him since he was turned done earlier for a PD because of his assets. I am sure he won’t agree to pay these attorney’s and believes the longer he stalls the harder it will be for the CA, or AG. The old man knows he will die in prison so whatever he does will only prolong the prison time. I say try the kid first and send him away unless he agrees to plea bargin and help put his dad away for life. If he is lucky he could do less then 10 if he cooperates.

I would certainly love to hear the opinions from the person who disagrees, jimmy, wouldn’t you? If judasine actually believes these two are innocent, I’d really like to hear her theories.
Anyone who’s actually read the accounts about this story pretty much know it’s an open and shut case.
Of course, someone from way out of town is most likely just tracking down posters…

I haven’t seen a statement by anyone that claims this man is innocent. Perhaps it’s good to take some time to consider whether he has been involved in other homicides in the area. Speculation runs rampant that he is. For now it’s just that, speculation, but I would imagine there are families who would be grateful to know if he had anything to do with these crimes. No matter what; he will pay for this murder.

Now that’s a great point, lora. I hadn’t heard anything about the speculations.

Hey bac, it’s called due process, something this country was founded on. This guy is obviously guilty but that doesn’t mean he isn’t entitled to the same rights and processes that everyone else is. I never saw judasine say once whether they thought they were guilty or innocent. Get off your high horse.

Yes, Brett, it is called due process.
Yet, in your second sentence, you agree that he’s obviously guilty.
My point was about the way these things are dragged out, and it’s aparrent that is just what he’s doing, especially with the “getting wheeled into court” thing.
Now, since lora love brought up the ‘speculations’, I think that touches on one more reason to bring these two to a faster trial. Since they’re already in custody, whether or not they are proven to be involved in prior crimes is kind of a moot point. It’s not like they’re going anywhere while other investigations are going on.
Is there any reason that we should be spending more time and money on THIS trial? They can always be tried later for anything else.
No, maybe you never saw judasine say she/he thought they were guilty or innocent, you only saw him/her make some stupid remark about one of my posts, didn’t you?
And, BTW, I don’t have a horse, high, or otherwise.
Stupid, filthy beasts….

Um, what does that have to do with anything here? There isn’t any specualtion or “maybe”, you just pulled something out of there that wasn’t there. And let’s make sure you are clear on this next piece too. The court of law and the court of public opinion are two ENTIRELY different things. What I think and believe is irrelevant to the fact that these two are still entitled to due process. Is this a waste to time, resources, and money? Yeah it is, but thankfully we live in a country where due process like this exists and is put in motion for everyone.

Very well written Brett. My previous comment was directed at the shred of hope that a suitable attorney could be found for this alleged murderer.
